IPPW Day 1: Identify Preparedness Priorities

Integrated Planning and Preparedness Workshop Day 1

This will be a virtual meeting and while it is scheduled for two hours the length depends on discussion by the participants. We welcome all CVHC stakeholders to this meeting. Webex information is below.

  1. Welcome and Introductions
  2. Review of the Agenda
  3. Identify Threats, Hazards, and Risks in Central Region
    1. Jurisdictional/Organizational threats and hazards
    2. Local Risk Assessments
    3. Regional Hazard Vulnerability Analysis Review
    4. National threats and hazards
  4. Identify Areas for Improvement and Capabilities
    1. Discussion Point: Identify areas for improvement and capability assessments previously identified
    2. Group Activity: Prioritize corrective actions
    3. Newly acquired capabilities and resources
    4. Completed corrective actions needing validation through exercises
    5. Discussion Point: Identify strengths to be shared with other jurisdictions/organizations.
  5. Identify External Sources and Requirements
    1. e.g., Industry reports, state or national preparedness reports, homeland security strategies, and grants/funding-specific requirements
  6. Identify Accreditation Standards and Regulations
    1. Joint Commission / DNV; CMS; OLC; DSS; DHP
  7. Adjournment
