Short Description
Addresses legal issues associated with public information and information release. By understanding laws such as the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); open records and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the person in charge of managing public information can take precautions to protect his or her organization and act appropriately to provide information during an emergency.
